For ages 5–8, with a parent or teacher. Human recitation of each ayah is followed by its clearly labeled translation of meaning, a substantive explanation adapted from Tafsir As-Sa‘di, and a question with five seconds to answer. Opening isti‘adhah and basmala also have separately spoken meanings. The lesson ends with a recap, an everyday activity and full-surah recitation practice. Questions and examples are authored learning material. The river and basin described in the Tafsir belong to the unseen and are not illustrated. Abstract geometry accompanies that explanation. The meaning of sacrifice is explained faithfully without showing animals or slaughter. The everyday activity focuses on gratitude and preparing for prayer with an adult.
